General Terms and Conditions for Registration

The registration to the 16th International Conference on the European Energy Market is possible solely via the online registration form.

A successful online registration constitutes a binding contract between the conference organising team Laboratory of Energy Policy, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana (LEST) and the participant. LEST is authorized to act on behalf of the University of Ljubljana. The participant receives an official confirmation of registration and invoice for his bookings and has to pay all conference fees in due time as stated on the invoice. The registration fees are collected by LEST on behalf of the University of Ljubljana. The registration fee includes the conference fee with VAT (according to Paragraph 1, Article 29 of Slovenian Value Added Tax Act (ZDDV-1)), and admission to all evening events and catering (with VAT included as well). The payment can be conducted by means of bank transfer or by credit card. Any potential bank transfer fees are covered by the participant. In case of payment by credit card, a handling fee of EUR 20.00 will be charged. The conference fee must be paid fully prior to the conference. Please note that cheques are not accepted.

Cancellation of registration

For all cancellations received by 18 May 2019, a cancellation fee of EUR 15.00 will be charged. For all cancellations received between 19 May and 12 July 2019 a cancellation fee of 50% of the conference fee will be charged. For all cancellations received between 13 July 2019 and 30 August 2019 a cancellation fee of 80% of the conference fee will be charged. From 30 August 2019, no refunds will be made for any cancellations, and accordingly the demand for full payment of the registration fees remains. Any changes of the registration and all cancellations must be communicated to the organising team LEST, in writing only.

Liability

LEST solely acts as an agent and is neither liable for any losses of goods, destructions or damages of property, nor for any accidents or the injury of persons, regardless of which legal reason. The participation at the congress and all corresponding events is at own risk.

Insurance

The registration fee does not include insurance of any kind. The organizers cannot accept any responsibility or liability for injuries or losses sustained as a result of any cancellations, accidents, illness or other occurrences that may arise in connection with the conference or its evening events. Participants are advised to organize appropriate travel and health insurance themselves.

Place of Fulfilment

Place of fulfilment is Ljubljana, Slovenia. The court of jurisdiction is Ljubljana. The law of the Republic of Slovenia applies. (5 September 2018)
