Presentation title: Two prices of burning coal on a single energy market

Mr. Janez Kopač has been Director of the Energy Community Secretariat since December 2012.

The Energy Community is an international organisation that brings together the EU and its neighbours to create an integrated pan-European energy market organised according to the EU’s internal energy market rules and principles.

Prior to taking on this role, Mr Kopač served as Slovenia’s director general for energy at the Ministry of Economy. He also previously held the position of Minister of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy, as well as Minister of Finance, in addition to having been a member of the Slovenian parliament for ten years.

Mr Kopač holds a master’s in economic science from the University of Ljubljana.
