Presentation title: Becoming a smart European multi-utility company

Matteo Ballarin was born in 1973. He graduated in electrical engineering at University of Padua in 1999.

Mr Ballarin has been active in the electricity market since 1999, where he has worked in several companies that collaborate in the growth and consolidation of major players such as Multiutility, Meta (now merged into Hera SpA) and Energetic Source.

In 2007 Mr Ballarin, together with two other shareholders, founded Europe Energy Spa, a new company specialised in energy trading, scheduling and risk management. Europe Energy also provides consulting to help clients with business strategy, business process design and operational planning in energy trading and delivery, wholesale electricity and natural gas markets; electric utility operations and regulation; developing renewable energy project. Today, Europe Energy Group can deliver power not only in every country in Europe but also from UK to Ukraine, from Spain to Turkey and Georgia, and it operates on all the main gas hubs of the continent.

In 2012, through a management buyout, he bought the 90% of the company and started to create the Europe Energy Group. Since February 2018 Mr Ballarin is a 100% Owner of Europe Energy Holding.
